Caffeine and Creativity: If you are also one of those people who like to do creative work and consume caffeine to increase their creativity, then you may be surprised to know that caffeine increases the ability to concentrate and solve problems, but this does not increase creativity. This fact has been revealed in a recent research. Caffeine has many cognitive benefits. This increases alertness, increases the ability to focus on a subject, improves physical mobility, although not much information is available about how much this stimulant has on creativity.
Researcher Darya Jabelina, an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas, USA, said, “In Western civilization, caffeine is naturally associated with creative pursuits and lifestyles. For the study, a group of 80 people were given either one tablet of 200 mg of caffeine or one cup of strong coffee.
Subsequently, their focus, ability to reduce and mood were tested based on standard measures.
When its findings on creativity were seen, it did not see any effect on the brain, it was found that those who consumed caffeine appeared less sad.
According to the researcher, “The consumption of 200 mg of caffeine pill was seen to have a good effect on the ability to solve problems, but it showed ineffectiveness on creative thinking, so keep taking your coffee, it has nothing to do with your abilities.”
