Scientists have claimed that Ganga water has improve significantly and naturally clean for drinking.
According to reports, Amid Lockdown with people staying indoors and all industries shut, the Ganga river, flowing through Varanasi and Haridwar, cleaning itself in a natural way.
“One tenth of the pollutants in the Ganga come from industries, nearby hotels and other sources. With all of these shut, the quality of water has improved by forty to fifty percent”
Indian rivers like Yamuna, Ganga, Cauvery, etc are breathing free again. What this essentially means is that all it needed was just one week of shutdown. So why was Modi govt spending billions of rupees to clean them?? Apply polluter pays principle. https://t.co/PYiWwoNOXa

Humans are a bigger problem for the planet than any virus. I've never seen Ganga this clean in Haridwar even 10-12 km upstream of Rishikeshhttps://t.co/OmPygEQedS
I hope very soon corona is controlled. But this lockout for 15 days once in a year is a must. It will save many health problems. Blue sky twinkling stars fresh air. Clean Yamuna n Ganga
We have seen Ganga clean, Yamuna clean, Mountains clean, Beaches clean but when will we ever see Dirt and Shit like you washed away? https://t.co/0eEu3f2BK4
